Company Overview

Strong Quality Roofing LLC is a woman-led, faith-based, locally operated exterior-services company currently serving homeowners and businesses in Williamson County, Tennessee.

We help customers understand the condition of their properties, consider their options, and make informed decisions without unnecessary pressure.

Through clear communication, thoughtful planning, and quality craftsmanship, we professionally manage each project from the initial consultation through final completion.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager leads Strong Quality Roofing's sales team and is accountable for developing qualified opportunities, achieving revenue objectives, and maintaining the company's standards for customer care and professional conduct.

This is a hands-on leadership position, not a purely administrative one. The Sales Manager is expected to be the top individual producer on the sales team—leading by personal example in consultations, property inspections, estimating, presentations, and relationship development—while also developing and coaching the broader team to raise its performance.

The position works closely with the Owner and Chief Operating Officer to establish sales priorities, evaluate performance, and implement responsible growth strategies. The Sales Manager also coordinates with the office and production teams to ensure each signed project is accurate, properly documented, and prepared for a smooth transition into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans aligned with the company's revenue, profitability, service-area, and growth objectives.
  • Establish clear individual and team expectations for sales activity, customer follow-up, closing performance, documentation, and professional conduct.
  • Monitor leads, appointments, inspections, proposals, signed contracts, closing rates, contract values, and projected revenue.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide reliable forecasts and performance reports to company leadership.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and support qualified sales representatives and canvassers.
  • Conduct sales meetings, individual coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and field training.
  • Assign leads and territories thoughtfully based on availability, experience, performance, and company priorities.
  • Maintain personal sales activity as a top individual producer, consistently ranking among the highest on the team in closing rate, contract value, and revenue generated.
  • Conduct exterior property consultations and inspections and document findings accurately.
  • Help customers understand property conditions, available exterior solutions, project considerations, and next steps.
  • Recommend roofing and exterior solutions based on the property's condition and the customer's priorities—not solely on the opportunity to make a sale.
  • Prepare and review estimates, scopes of work, pricing, proposals, and contracts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support sales representatives during inspections, presentations, adjuster meetings, and complex customer situations.
  • Ensure customer expectations are established clearly before a project moves into production.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, referral partners, adjusters, and community contacts.
  • Ensure customer information, inspection findings, photographs, estimates, contracts, and follow-up activities are documented in company systems.
  • Coordinate with the office and production teams to provide a complete and organized project handoff.
  • Address customer concerns promptly, calmly, and with appropriate ownership.
  • Develop referral, review, networking, and community-engagement strategies that support sustainable growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the company's sales processes, customer communication, and overall experience.
  • Ensure the sales team follows approved pricing, documentation standards, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Represent Strong Quality Roofing with integrity, professionalism, and respect.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record as a top-performing sales producer—not solely as a manager of others' performance—is required.
  • Three or more years of customer-facing sales experience is required.
  • Three or more years of sales leadership, management, or team-development experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales goals and building long-term customer relationships.

  • Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and managing sales professionals.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to balance personal sales responsibilities with team leadership and performance management.
  • Able to interpret sales data, evaluate pipeline activity, and prepare reliable forecasts.
  • Highly organized and consistent with documentation, scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, walking roofs, conducting exterior inspections, and working at heights.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office and learn company CRM, estimating, measurement, and photo-documentation platforms.
  • Candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the Company’s insurance requirements.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are helpful but not required.

Core Competencies

  • Sales Excellence: Performs as one of the company's top individual producers and sets the performance standard the rest of the team is measured against.
  • Advisory Mindset: Seeks to understand before recommending and helps customers make informed decisions.
  • Leadership: Establishes clear expectations, develops people, and holds the team accountable for both conduct and results.
  • Stewardship: Treats customer properties, company resources, and professional relationships with care and responsibility.
